Welcome to Crossing the Goal — a Catholic men's ministry devoted to supporting and equipping men to stand up and live the life they were called to by their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Conferences

The CTG team of Danny Abramowicz, Peter Herbeck, Curtis Martin and Brian Patrick motivate men through inspired talks on conversion, transformation and evangelization. Centered around the sacrifice of the Holy Mass and the sacrament of reconciliation, these uplifting half-day conference programs are designed to inspire men to go on and make a positive difference in their homes, parishes, workplaces and communities.

Spiritual Fitness Workout Groups

Message from the Coach

The Crossing the Goal Ministries (CTG) was created to be an outreach ministry to men concerning their spiritual well-being. I have personally been involved in Catholic Men’s ministry for 25 years and I have seen a growing need for resources, adapted solely for men, that would challenge them to become spiritually fit.

For this reason, the CTG team began developing resources, beginning with a TV show, Crossing the Goal, that airs on EWTN television and radio and can be viewed online on this website. Springing forth from these shows, we developed sets of DVDs based on the various episodes along with sets of questions that can be used either personally or in a group setting which we call Spiritual Fitness Workouts (SFW).

Family Scripts

Every family has a collection of rules and regulations that guide how it operates.  Some of these rules are overtly stated, but most are unspoken.  This is known as The Family Script.  Many of these rules are helpful, such as “Always tell the truth,” “Respect your elders,” “Work hard in school,” and “Develop strong faith in God.”  However, some rules can be harmful.  Dr. Mark Laaser identifies five rules that can fuel addictions

Workout Resources for Groups

Coach Danny Recommends that Workout Groups use the following schedule.

Season 1

Halftime

Optional: Coach Danny recommends that before beginning Season 2, the group consider using his book on CD as part of the workout. The book focuses on a personal spiritual workout plan and will be extremely useful for men going into the next season.
