Jesus allows temptation to take place, but He provides us with a source to overcome it; the Holy Spirit, our personal trainer. In fact, Jesus was not alone in the desert; He had the Holy Spirit with Him. The devil knew Jesus was God and he still tried to tempt him! He did not succeed but at the end of the scripture, the devil says, “I’ll be back at a more opportune time.”
· Temptations come at the most unexpected times with swiftness; the devil has many devices of temptation, exp. ego booze and other devices, sex, pornography, money, drugs, pride, just to name a few.
· Go to Mary whenever I have impure thoughts
Temptation stops 15 minutes after we are in the grave. The devil works 24/7 with no vacations. It’s not if we are going to be tempted; it’s when and how many times? We must run away from temptation and run to Jesus, He will protect us.
