Prayer: Kickoff by spending a couple of minutes in shared prayer asking the Holy Spirit to guide the team through this Spiritual Fitness Workout. Including a brief time for intercessory prayer is suggested.
Beginning with a worship song which is easy for men to sing is highly recommended but optional. "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord."
Life Sharing: The Coach invites team members to share how things went personally and spiritually since the previous workout with a focus on their personal action item from the previous workout.
The Coach asks for a team member to read the introductory material for the selected topic in the Playbook.
The Coach asks a team member to read one question and the associated Scripture passage(s) from the Offensive Play Call section of the selected topic in the Playbook and then directs the huddle in the discussion of the question and Scripture. This process is repeated until all the questions have been discussed by the team.
The Coach directs the team to watch the designated CTG Playbook episode by viewing the streaming video on the CTG website (Kickoff, Game Plan and Red Zone segments).
The huddle then resumes. The Coach asks a team member to read one question and the associated Scripture passage(s) from the Your Game Plan section of the selected topic in the Playbook and then directs the huddle in the discussion of the question and Scripture. This process is repeated until all the questions have been discussed by the team.
The Coach reads the Summary section of the selected topic in the Playbook and presents the action item(s) for the following week from the Executing Your Game Plan section of the selected topic in the Playbook.
Each team member silently writes down his spiritual action plan that he will work on during the coming week.
All team members sing together a worship song (Optional). Keep it simple!
Close the meeting with a brief time of prayer led by one team member and concluding with all team members reciting together a common prayer such as the Our Father, Universal Prayer or St. Michael the Archangel prayer.
